OhanaLog Privacy Policy
OhanaLog is built on one promise: your family's health notes stay on your device. This policy explains what that means in the terms most privacy policies use.
1. Personal Information We Collect
We collect none. OhanaLog has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no crash reporting. The Android version does not request internet permission, so the app is technically unable to send data anywhere.
Everything you record (family member profiles, health events, medications, notes, reminders) is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. We, Cardinal Hosting Solutions LLC, never see it, receive it, or have any way to access it.
2. Tracking Technologies
No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
3. Voice Notes
Voice notes are transcribed by your device's own speech recognition service (provided by Google on Android or Apple on iOS). Depending on your device settings, that service may process audio on the provider's servers under the provider's own privacy policy; you can choose offline recognition in your device settings where your platform offers it. The audio and transcript are never sent to us either way, and the app itself has no internet access to send them with.
4. How Your Information Is Used
Only to do the app's job on your device: showing your family's history, building the PDF and CSV reports you choose to export or save, and delivering local medication and check-in reminders. Reminders are generated and delivered by your device, not by a server.
5. How Information Leaves Your Device
Only when you send it, and only where you send it: exporting a report uses your device's share sheet or file dialog and goes to the app, folder, or person you pick (for example, emailing a report to a doctor). We are not a party to that transfer and receive nothing from it.
6. Device Backups
If you use your device's backup service (Google backup on Android, iCloud backup on iOS), the app's data may be included in that backup, stored in your own Google or Apple account under their privacy policies. That backup belongs to you and protects your records if your phone is lost or replaced; we have no access to it. You can exclude the app or turn backups off in your device settings.
7. Third-Party Services
The app store you installed from (Google Play or the App Store) collects its own purchase and install information under its own privacy policy; we receive only the store's standard anonymized sales reporting, never anything from inside the app.
8. Sharing With Third Parties
We share nothing with anyone, because we have nothing to share.
9. Retention and Deletion
Your records stay on your device until you archive or delete them, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. We keep no copies, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
10. Security
Your data is protected by your device's own storage isolation, plus the app's optional PIN and biometric lock. Because nothing is transmitted or stored on servers, there is no server-side data to breach.
11. Children
OhanaLog is designed for parents and caregivers to record notes about their household, including children, under the account-free control of the adult holding the device. The app itself collects no data from anyone and has no online features a child could use to transmit anything.
12. Health Information Notice
OhanaLog is a private note-keeping tool, not a medical device and not a covered entity under HIPAA. Records you keep in it are your own personal notes, in your own custody, on your own device.
13. Changes to This Policy
If a future version of the app ever changes what happens to your data, we will update this policy and say so plainly in the app's release notes before the change takes effect.
14. Your State Privacy Rights
State privacy laws give residents rights over personal information a business collects about them. We collect none, sell none, and share none, so there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or opt out of on our side. The records on your phone are already fully in your control.
